Featured menu of the month: Alice in Wonderland
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland might have been written way back in 1865 (By Lewis Carroll) but many elements and ideas in the novel still resound today. From fancy dress ideas to themed menus, there is something about this magical book that gets our imaginations – as well as our taste buds – going. With this in mind, then we look at the following ‘Alice in Wonderland’ menu that we devised for one of our functions here at Anise Catering.
The below menu is inspired from the book as it’s a real mix of childlike fantasy and original flavours that stand out – but work.
The original Mad Hatter’s tea party was full of strange concoctions and surprises and so we’ve aimed to give this tea party a grown up twist whilst retaining the original elements of this classic novel.
This menu can be paired with cocktails of your choice such as sloe gin fizz (made with sloe gin, freshly squeezed lemon juice and lemonade), champagne, Kir Royale or wine from our extensive wine list.
